We have heard the same story too many times now. A staff member or church member raises a concern they have while attending the Upper Room. They are met with and then either confronted and told the Lord is calling them somewhere else or they are blatantly ostracized and their name/credibility is called into question.

“There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs.” - Luke 12:2-3

We believe, through the many stories we’ve heard and the people we’ve talked to, that there is a dangerous system of government ruling the Upper Room. At the head is not Jesus, but Michael Freeland Miller. It is his word, his way and his will that is done. His vision is the priority. The pursuit of this vision has resulted in, not just one, but many people being driven away or cast out of the organization of the Upper Room.

Whatever your story, we want to hear it. Our goal is to collect the stories of hurt, manipulation, abuseand betrayal experienced at the hands of Michael Freeland Miller and the organization he has built around himself.
